How Great is Our God by Chris Tomlin has become one of those "classic contemporary" worship songs. Hipster churches have almost completely shunned it now, citing it to be "too mainstream". Even I admit to hitting the "next" button on my iPod a fair share.
But today, I didn't feel like that.
Combien, Dieu est grand
Chantons-le combien Dieu est grand
Et tous verrons combien, combien
Dieu est grand
Maybe what I needed was to sing this song in the language of a people who have each chosen, despite their communities, to believe that God is great.
